WORLDWIDE TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN

  • Insured Person refers to the person(s) named as such in the Policy Schedule with the age limit for Insured Person(s) under this Policy is from a minimum of six (6) weeks up to a maximum age of eighty five (85) years. No benefit will be provided once the Insured Person reaches the age of eighty six (86).
  • the Child(ren), must be:-
    • all legal dependent, unmarried children, including step-children or legally adopted children of the Insured Person.
    • All children under the age of seven (7) years must be accompanied by an adult who is also insured under the same Policy.
    • The age limit for eligible Child(ren) under Family Policy is from a minimum of six (6) weeks up to maximum age of eighteen (18) years or twenty three (23) years and full time student at a recognized school, college or university.

No. All commencement and end of journey date must be the same for a family plan. However, you may purchase an individual plan for yourself and your spouse and children may purchase a Family Plan.

 

Yes, however, you may only purchase a One Way Journey to cover for you flight to directly back to the country whereby you are a permanent resident. Transits at other countries are allowed provided the Insured Person is confined to the transit area of the airports in these countries. The coverage commences on the date and at the time of departure from the international area of Vietnam within the Period of Insurance and ceases on whichever of the following occurs first:
a) The expiry of the Period of Insurance (at midnight of such expiry date); or.
b) The Insured Person’s arrival at the international arrival areas of the country whereby he/she is a permanent resident.

No. Insurance policy must be purchased one day before commencement of journey date and all coverage will be activate at 00:00:01am of the commencement of journey date.

Medically Necessary Expenses Coverage does not cover dental treatment unless such treatment is necessarily incurred to sound and natural teeth and is caused by Injury

Yes. Chubb Travel Insurance covers post-journey medical expenses incurred within 30 days from the day of your return to Vietnam provided that you are confined to a hospital directly as a result of a sickness suffered overseas with the maximum amountspecified in the Summary of Benefits.

Admission to the Hospital must be within 12 hours after arrival into the territorial boundaries of Vietnam and must be a continuation of medical attention sought while Overseas.

No, the policy does not cover any pregnancy-related issues other than accidental miscarriage due to bodily injury as a result of an accident.

This will be covered in “Baggage Delay after 8 hours” Benefit and pay for emergency purchase of essential clothing and toiletries if the check-in baggage accompanying the Insured Person has been temporarily misplaces by the carrier.

No, Chubb Travel Insurance does not cover any hired or leased equipment.

a Trip is cancelled due to Injury, Sickness or death of an Insured Person or death of Family Member. The Injury or Sickness must be so disabling and certified by a Physician as to reasonably cause a Trip to be cancelled

  • the Insured Person dying or becoming ill or sustaining Bodily Injury rendering the Insured Person unfit to travel in the opinion of a Physician;
  • the death, of the Insured Person's Family Member;

Whereby, in the context of cancellation of a Journey, the events mentioned occur within sixty (60) days before the Scheduled Departure Date whichever is the later.

The policy does not cover cancellation caused by or resulting from natural disaster.

The policy does not cover cancellation caused by or resulting from changes in plans by the Insured Person, however, we can adjust your insurance period when we receive your adjustment request email 24 hours prior the inception date of insurance.

Trip Cancellation Coverage does not cover cancellation caused by or resulting from business obligations.

CHUBB FLIGHT INSURANCE – DOMESTIC PLAN

A customer buying domestic air tickets (one way or roundtrip) for a domestic flight within the territory of Vietnam can buy this insurance.

Chubb Flight Insurance – Domestic Plan doesn’t cover for Multiple Destination Flights

In case customers buy flight tickets through airlines website or OTA sites don’t include Chubb Flight Insurance, you can buy insurance for your domestic itinerary through the Chubb Travel Insurance website.

Chubb Flight Insurance Roundtrip is only valid for 30 days from the Departure Date.

No, Chubb Flight Insurance – Domestic Plan only covers accident-related medical expenses (if the Accidental Medical Expenses benefit is included in your Certificate of Insurance for round-trip travel. Benefit Medical expenses do not apply to one-way trips.)

Yes, however, Chubb Flight Insurance excludes pre-existing Medical Conditions as set out in the Terms & Conditions. Pre-existing medical condition means an injury, illness, illness, or medical condition that causes a person to be cautious usually to see a doctor for diagnosis, care, treatment or prescription medication.

Your claim will be processed within 5 business days after you submit all required documents.

You must submit your claim and proof of documnets to Chubb Insurance Vietnam Co., Ltd. within 30 days from the date of the insured event.
